Once again, a Marlins player was on the verge of hitting for the freaking cycle.
Giancarlo Stanton finished 3-for-3 with a walk in four plate appearances on Miami’s 8-2 loss against the St. Louis Cardinals. The face of our battered franchise tripled in the first inning, doubled in the third and smacked a single in the sixth. His performance at the dish was the only highlight on an otherwise awful game for the Fish -I’m talking to you, Jacob Turner-, who saw their record fall to 3 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie.
